It has long been good advice for all newcomers to the sport to start their clay shooting experience on the Skeet layout. This advice has been given by numerous teachers over the years for some very good reasons. The targets are all shot at a much closer range that other clay shooting disciplines. Skeet shooting gets your stance correct and makes you swing the gun through the target, it teaches you all the combinations of incoming, outgoing and quartering targets using both high and low trajectories. These are some of the reasons why as a beginner, Skeet Shooting will be your perfect stepping stone into this very popular, exciting and rewarding sport.
1st time shooters are very welcome and the lesson will start with gun safety instruction, general safety awareness, handling the shotgun, understanding the principles of moving target shooting, leading you into the position to break your 1st clays. This will be at no extra cost, then we will go onto the Skeet layout to continue with the instruction package detailed on the prices page of my web site.
